The family of People's Deputy Roman Ivanisov, who is a member of the Verkhovna Rada's Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy, purchased several expensive cars and real estate during his term as a deputy, according to the Bihus.Info investigation.

Before the 2019 parliamentary elections, Ivanisov declared insignificant assets and income, but noted the presence of significant cash savings - approximately one million dollars. Starting in 2020, his wife Maryna Ivanisova began to actively spend these savings. In February and April of the same year, she bought two new premium class cars – Mercedes GLE350 and GLS400, the total cost of which was about $200,000.

At the same time, she invested in real estate, buying two apartments, three parking spaces and three spaces for bicycles in the residential complex "Manhattan city" in Kyiv. The cost of this property was approximately 320 thousand dollars. In 2021, Ivanisova bought another car – a Volkswagen Multivan, spending 90,000 dollars on it.

In total, the family spent more than half a million dollars on real estate and cars during the first half of 2020. In 2022, Roman Ivanisov invested more than 12 million hryvnias (about 330 thousand dollars) in two new apartments in Kyiv, which, according to him, were a gift from his mother. His mother, Iryna Ivanisova, explained the existence of such savings with many years of entrepreneurial experience.

In 2023, the family continued to buy property: Maryna Ivanisova became the owner of three plots of land and an unfinished house in the cottage town "Ariel Village" near Kyiv. Although the developer sold houses in the area for at least 30 million hryvnias, the deputy's wife was able to purchase the property for about 3 million hryvnias, citing a favorable offer from the seller.

Roman Ivanisov himself refrained from commenting on these acquisitions.

In 2019, Roman Ivanisov was elected a People's Deputy to the Council from the Servant of the People party, representing the 153rd district in the Rivne region. He became a member of the Committee on Anti-corruption Policy. Shortly after his election, information appeared in the media that at the age of 16, Ivanisov was convicted of gang rape. The then Prosecutor General Ruslan Ryaboshapka stated that the lawmaker's criminal record was expunged, so he is officially considered not to have a criminal record. However, the GPU later clarified that this information is still at the stage of verification.

In addition, the mass media reported that Ivanisov could falsely indicate in his biography that he had a higher education. He was never able to name the institution where he received his education, and he did not provide explanations regarding the circumstances of the criminal case of rape. The People's Deputy did not attend parliament sessions for more than a month, citing sick leave. At the end of autumn 2019, the Servant of the People faction expelled him from its ranks, but Ivanisov retained his deputy mandate. Currently, he is a member of the "Restoration of Ukraine" parliamentary group, which includes mostly former representatives of the "Opposition Platform - For Life".
