SAP seeks to confiscate UAH 1.64M from prosecutor Yanishevska

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court demanding the confiscation of UAH 1.64 million, which Olga Yanishevska, a prosecutor of the Department of Procedural Supervision of the State Bureau of Investigation of the Prosecutor General's Office, received as a cash gift from her mother.

According to the case materials, on April 9, 2021, Yanishevska declared a cash gift in the amount of UAH 1.94 million from her mother Klavdia. However, according to the SAPO, the woman did not have legal sources of income for such a transfer of funds. It was established that the prosecutor's mother had only UAH 306 thousand - proceeds from the sale of a land plot and personal savings. She allegedly borrowed the rest of the amount from third parties for a period of 10 years.

According to the prosecutor, the difference in the amount of UAH 1.64 million is an unjustified asset that Yanishevska received. These funds were spent on an advance payment for an apartment in Kyiv, which the prosecutor currently declares as an object of unfinished construction. The total area of ​​​​the apartment is 77.05 sq. m.

The SAPO also filed a motion to secure the claim, in particular, requesting the seizure of the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan car belonging to the prosecutor. The court granted the motion.
