SAP seeks to confiscate council deputy’s assets worth ₴5M

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requests the confiscation of the assets of Oleh Tkachenko, a deputy of the Velykydymer Village Council of the Brovary District of the Kyiv Region, totaling over UAH 5 million.

The SAPO prosecutor filed a lawsuit to declare assets worth over UAH 5 million, used by a deputy of one of the village councils of the Brovary district of the Kyiv region, unfounded. These include: two cars: a 2023 Volkswagen ID 4 worth over UAH 1 million, registered to his ex-wife, and a 2015 Jaguar XF registered to his adult son, but which are actually managed by the official; ten land plots registered to the deputy's mother-in-law, ex-wife, and son

According to the SAPO, during the investigation into the case of committing a serious crime in the field of environmental protection, the Brovary District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv Region discovered data indicating the acquisition of unjustified assets by a deputy of one of the village councils of the Brovary district of Kyiv region. The relevant materials were sent to the NACP. An analysis of the property status and expenses of the village council deputy and members of his family, as well as his ex-wife and mother-in-law, confirmed the impossibility of acquiring these assets at the expense of legal income.

It should be noted that during the monitoring it was established that the official's mother-in-law had alienated a number of land plots in favor of relatives. However, thanks to the timely actions of the prosecutor, who applied to the Supreme Court of Justice with a request to seize the assets that are the subject of the dispute, it was possible to avoid their further alienation.

In particular, the court seized 10 land plots in Velyka Dymerka, Brovary district, Kyiv region, with a total area of almost 5.4 hectares and two cars mentioned in the lawsuit.

We previously reported that the SAPO is requesting the confiscation of the assets of the head of the Anti-Money Laundering Department of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Sumy region, Artem Sniezhko, who previously served as the head of this department.

In addition, the High Anti-Corruption Court scheduled a hearing for April 8 to consider the lawsuit for the confiscation of a 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser 200 car , used by former Chernihiv Regional Council deputy Tetyana Oleshko.
