SAPO Appeals Verdict Against Former Agriculture Ministry Official

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court will consider the appeal of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office against the verdict, which found Olena Polishchuk, the former head of the state property management department of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, guilty of abuse of influence, but acquitted her of punishment.
As is known, the High Anti-Corruption Court found Polishchuk guilty and sentenced her to 8 years in prison. The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court overturned the verdict and ordered a retrial. The High Anti-Corruption Court convicted Polishchuk again, but under Part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of influence). She was sentenced to 3 years in prison and released from punishment due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.
To open appeal proceedings on the appeals of the defendant's defense attorney (Polishchuk) and the SAPO prosecutor, filed against the verdict of the High Anti-Corruption Court of July 27, 2026. To set a deadline for the defendant and her defense attorneys, as well as the prosecutor, until September 10, 2026 inclusive, to file objections to the defense and prosecutor's appeals with the AC of the High Anti-Corruption Court
