SAPO Appeals Poltava Judge Kononenko’s Sentence

The Supreme Court will consider the appeal of the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office against the verdict sentencing former judge of the Leninsky District Court of Poltava, Serhiy Kononenko, to 5 years in prison.
As is known, the High Anti-Corruption Court found Kononenko guilty and sentenced him to 6 years in prison. Later, the Appeals Chamber of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court upheld the verdict, but reduced the sentence to 5 years in prison. The SAPO prosecutor filed a cassation appeal against this ruling.

Serhiy Kononenko is a person involved in the EBK base.
Earlier it also became known that the judges reduced Kononenko's prison term . Thus, instead of 6 years, the judge will be behind bars for 5 years. The confiscation of all property was left unchanged.
