SAPO seeks arrest with UAH 425 mln bail for ex-minister Galushchenko
The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office will apply to the High Anti-Corruption Court with a request to appoint a preventive measure in the form of detention for former Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of UAH 425 million.
This was reported to the media by SAPO press secretary Olga Postoliuk.

The press service of the High Anti-Corruption Court clarified that the petition has already been submitted to the court, but the date of the hearing has not yet been determined.
On Monday, February 16, the former Minister of Energy and Justice was informed of suspicion in a case of possible money laundering and participation in a criminal organization.
Law enforcement officials believe that during Galushchenko's tenure, the criminal organization received more than $112 million in cash from illegal activities in the energy sector. Some of the funds were laundered through cryptocurrency and investments in a fund registered on the island of Anguilla.
As a reminder, on the night of February 15, German Galushchenko was detained while attempting to cross the border. He was removed from the train at the request of the NABU and the SAPO.
We also reported that on November 10, NABU and SAPO conducted searches at the residence of President Zelensky's former business partner and co-owner of the Kvartal 95 studio, Timur Mindich, as well as at the residence of Justice Minister Herman Galushchenko, who previously headed the Ministry of Energy.
