Court set ₴20M bail for ex-military commissar Borysov

Former military officer of Odessa region Yevhen Borisov was chosen as a preventive measure. The judge of the Primorsky District Court of Odessa set a bail of 20 million hryvnias. The lawyers will appeal the decision. The session on choosing a preventive measure lasted almost a month: from October 3.
This was confirmed to Suspilny by one of the defendant's lawyers, Andriy Voyna.
We will appeal. The judge herself wrote in the decision that it is appealed within five days.
The next hearing in this case will be held on November 19.
During the hearing on the selection of a preventive measure for Yevhen Borisov, the court questioned a witness who was sitting with Yevhen Borisov in the Lukyanivka pre-trial detention center. Witness Mykola Pistrylo said that he had not heard from Borisov about his intentions to leave Ukraine or hide property abroad. Also, according to him, Borisov did not discuss with him participation in illegal human trafficking or smuggling.
Yevgeny Borisov is a suspect in the EBK database.
The Primorsky District Court of Odessa is considering the case of the forced abandonment of the place of service by the former military commissar of Odessa region Yevhen Borisov. The hearing has been ongoing since October 3 and has been postponed several times. The prosecution is asking to choose a preventive measure for Borisov - detention without bail or with bail in the amount of 300 million hryvnias.
Yevhen Borisov attended the hearing on October 3, as well as on October 6 and 7. During the latter, an ambulance was called and he was hospitalized in one of the city hospitals. After that, neither the accused nor his lawyers came to the hearing, so a free defense attorney was involved in the case. Borisov refused to hold the hearing via video link.
Borisov's defense also wanted to move the case to Kyiv, but at the October 9 hearing it became known that the Supreme Court refused to do so.
