Supreme Court Transfers Holovatyi to PTDC image

The Supreme Court transferred from the Zhytomyr Correctional Facility to the Kyiv Pre-trial Detention Center the former Deputy Director of the State Expertise Department of the State Expert Control Service of Ukraine, Serhiy Holovaty, who was sentenced to 10.5 years in prison.

The HIgh Anti-Corruption Court sentenced Holovaty to 10.5 years in prison, with a ban on holding certain positions for 3 years after serving the main sentence, deprivation of the rank of civil servant, and confiscation of all his property. The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court left this sentence unchanged.

Holovaty's defense attorney filed a cassation appeal. The convict himself also requested that he be transferred from the correctional colony to a pre-trial detention center.

The application of the convict (Golovaty) shall be granted. The convict shall be transferred from the state institution “Zhytomyr Correctional Colony (No. 4)” to the state institution “Kyiv Pre-trial Detention Center”, enrolling him under the Cassation Criminal Court of the Supreme Court. To be taken into custody (Golovaty – ed.) for the court session of the Cassation Criminal Court of the Supreme Court at 2:30 p.m. on September 30, 2025 to participate in the consideration of the criminal proceedings by the court of cassation instance
