The High Anti-Corruption Court has extended the term of office of the former acting deputy head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police, Oleg Tkachenko, until April 14. The NABU and the SAPO suspect him of involvement in the case of MP Mykola Zadorozhny.

This decision was made by the Supreme Court of Ukraine.

As is known, the anti-corruption court set bail in the amount of UAH 1.5 million for former criminal investigation officer Tkachenko. He was also given the following obligations: to appear upon first demand; to report any change of residence and work; not to leave the settlement in which he lives without permission; to refrain from communicating with a number of people; to hand over his foreign passports and to wear an electronic bracelet.

The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requested that all duties be extended for another two months. The judge decided to remove the bracelet from Tkachenko because the defense complained of constant inconvenience.

The motion to extend the term of the duties assigned to the suspect (Tkachenko – ed.) is partially granted. The suspect's term of duties is extended for two months – until April 14, 2025 inclusive, but within the period of the pre-trial investigation.

– the decision states.

Let us remind you that Oleg Tkachenko is a figure in the EBK base.

It also recently became known that the Supreme Court of Ukraine has extended until April 15 the investigation into the case of suspicion of MP Mykola Zadorozhny in extorting an illegal benefit and organizing its receipt.
