Court extended probe into MP Kuznetsov and Haidai

The High Anti-Corruption Court extended until January 3, 2026 the investigation period of the case on suspicion of People's Deputy Oleksiy Kuznetsov, former head of the Mukachevo District State Administration in the Transcarpathian region Serhiy Gaidai, and others in receiving illegal benefits and misappropriation of funds.
The motion is partially granted. To extend the term of the pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings on suspicion of (Olexy Kuznetsov, Serhiy Gaidai, Vladyslav Marchenko, Yevheniya Sidelnikova, Andriy Yurchenko, Vasyl Myshansky – ed.) committing crimes for up to five months, i.e. until January 3, 2026

Earlier, the HACC took People's Deputy Oleksiy Kuznetsov into custody. As an alternative, he was given a bail of UAH 8 million. The specified funds were paid and he was released from custody.
As a reminder, NABU and SAPO reported suspicions to People's Deputy Oleksiy Kuznetsov, Head of the Mukachevo District State Administration Serhiy Gaidai, and others. According to the investigation, during 2024–2025, participants in the organized group established a scheme for the systematic appropriation of budget funds allocated by local governments for the needs of the defense forces, as well as receiving and providing illegal benefits.
