HACC Extends Levchenko’s Duties image

The High Anti-Corruption Court extended the term of office of the former acting first deputy head of the State Enterprise "Research and Design Institute of Land Management" Oleg Levchenko until October 29. The NABU and the SAPO suspect him of organizing the seizure of over 1,200 hectares of land near Kyiv.

As is known, the anti-corruption court arrested Levchenko with the alternative of 3 million UAH bail. These funds were deposited and he was released from custody under the following obligations: to appear upon each request; to report any change in his place of residence and work; to refrain from communicating with the suspects in this criminal proceeding and to hand over his foreign passports. The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office once again requested to extend these obligations.

The motion of the SAPO prosecutor to extend the term of the duties assigned to (Levchenko – ed.) – is granted. The suspect’s term of the duties stipulated in Part 5 of Article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code is extended until October 29, 2025 inclusive, but not longer than the terms of the pre-trial investigation.

As a reminder, NABU and SAPO reported suspicions to five individuals, including the head of the State Reserve Dmytro Babak. According to the investigation, in 2018-2019, these individuals seized almost 920 hectares of state land in Fastiv, Kyiv region, and about 284 hectares of the Puscha-Vodytsia state enterprise near Kyiv.

We also reported that Yuriy Bolokhovets, General Director of the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" from Chernihiv, was released from pretrial detention on bail.
