HACC Reduces Olenych’s Bail

The High Anti-Corruption Court has reduced the bail amount set for former Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Petro Olenych from UAH 13 million to UAH 12.2 million. NABU and SAPO suspect him of involvement in the land case of businessman Denys Komarnytsky.
As is known, the High Anti-Corruption Court arrested Olenych with the alternative of 15 million UAH bail. These funds were paid and he was released from custody. Later, the bail was reduced to 14 million UAH, and then to 13 million UAH. Olenych's defense lawyer again asked to reduce the amount of bail.
The motion is partially granted. The preventive measure in the form of bail, applied to the suspect (Olenich - ed.), according to the decision of the investigating judge of the High Court of Criminal Justice of Ukraine dated 07.02.2025 and amended by the decision of the investigating judge dated 22.07.2025 in the amount of 13,000,000 UAH, is to be changed to a preventive measure in the form of bail in the amount of 12,200,000 UAH

As a reminder, NABU and SAPO have handed over suspicions to 10 individuals, including Denys Komarnytskyi, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Petro Olenych, Head of the Kyiv City Council Standing Committee on Architecture, Urban Planning and Land Relations Mykhailo Terentyev and member of this committee Olena Marchenko. According to the investigation, the government officials were engaged in illegal privatization of land for construction. In addition, they tried to take full control of the procedure for making decisions on granting land rights.
We also reported that a bail of UAH 9.08 million was paid for the former director of the cybersecurity department of the Security Service of Ukraine, Ilya Vityuk .
