Court refuses to release jailed ex-MP Hunko on health grounds

The Voznesenskyi City District Court of the Mykolaiv region refused to release former People's Deputy Anatoly Hunko, who was previously sentenced to 4 years in prison, from a correctional colony.
As is known, the High Anti-Corruption Court found People's Deputy Anatoliy Hunko guilty and sentenced him to 7 years in prison with a 3-year ban on holding certain positions and confiscation of all property. Later, the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court reduced the sentence to 4 years in prison and arrested the People's Deputy.
The Voznesenskyi City District Court received a petition from the local correctional colony to release former People's Deputy Gunko from serving his sentence due to his illness. However, the court refused.
