HACC seizes Deputy PM Kuleba’s apartment and parking space

The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) has seized an apartment and a parking space belonging to the Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery and Minister of Community and Territorial Development, Oleksiy Kuleba.
This is stated in the court ruling. Oleksiy Kuleba's name is not mentioned there, but according to the Anti-Corruption Center (ACC), it is he who is being referred to.
Prosecutors from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) requested the seizure of a government official's apartment worth 4.4 million hryvnias and a parking space worth 520 thousand.
According to the prosecution, Kuleba uses this property and has the ability to influence his sister regarding the disposal of this property so that it cannot be confiscated in favor of the state in the future.
However, after the arrest, these assets will not be able to be sold or pledged. On June 17, the SAPO filed a lawsuit with the Supreme Court of Ukraine to declare unfounded and recover assets worth almost 5 million hryvnias acquired by Kuleba through his sister in 2021. At that time, he worked as the first deputy head of the Kyiv City Administration.
According to the investigation, already in 2023 he ensured the conclusion of the main contracts, their state registration and the conclusion of additional agreements on property maintenance, involving his driver in this. At that time, Kuleba already worked in the Office of the President of Ukraine. The SAPO also analyzed the official income of his family and stated that they did not have sufficient legal income to purchase these assets.
We previously reported that the HACC reduced the bail of the defendant in the Shchygol case.
