HACC confiscates UAH 3.8 mln assets of ex-Zaporizhzhia TCP head

The High Anti-Corruption Court found the assets of the family of the former head of the Zaporizhia Regional Territorial Center of Procurement and Social Support, Hennadiy Yaremenko, worth over UAH 3.8 million, unfounded.
As noted, the HACC recognized as unfounded assets worth over UAH 3.8 million, which were acquired by the former head of the Zaporizhia Regional TCP together with his wife.
According to the materials of the State Bureau of Investigation and the National Anti-Corruption Commission, the High Anti-Corruption Court partially satisfied the lawsuit of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office to recognize as unfounded the assets of the family of the former head of one of the regional territorial centers for recruitment and social support in the amount of over UAH 3.8 million
According to the agencies, these include: a house with a land plot worth over 1.8 million hryvnias and 253 thousand hryvnias, respectively; two cars registered to the official's wife; and 20 thousand US dollars purchased by him and his wife.
The court ruled to collect the house with the land plot, as well as the cost of one of the cars - 786 thousand UAH - as state revenue.
According to the NACP, an analysis of the income and expenses of the former official and his family showed that it was impossible to purchase this property at the expense of legal income. It was also established that the assets were purchased for cash, while the family mainly spent confirmed income in non-cash form. At the same time, the court decision can be appealed within 30 days from the date of its full text.
