HACC Extends Duties for Ex-Ukrenergo Director Totskyi

The High Anti-Corruption Court has extended the term of office of Serhiy Totsky, former director of the security department of PJSC National Energy Company Ukrenergo, until August 24. He is accused of embezzlement of UAH 10 million.
As is known, the court applied a preventive measure to the former head of the Ukrenergo department, Serhiy Totsky. He was also given the following obligations: to appear upon first demand; not to leave the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv region without permission; to report any change of his place of residence and/or place of work; to refrain from communicating with witnesses and other suspects; to hand over his foreign passports for safekeeping; to refrain from visiting the premises used by PJSC NPC Ukrenergo.
The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office asked the court to extend these duties. The court extended the duties, but changed the ban on leaving Kyiv and the Kyiv region on the border of Ukraine.
The prosecutor's motion to extend the term of the imposed duties shall be partially granted. The term of the duties of the accused (Totsky - ed.) stipulated in Part 5 of Article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine shall be extended until August 24, 2025 inclusive.
Serhiy Totsky is a figure in the EBK database.
In the spring, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office sent an indictment to the court against Totsky and his accomplice Viktor Yakovlyuk for abuse.
