HACC Extends Duties for Luganskyi

The High Anti-Corruption Court extended until October 27 the term of office of Volodymyr Luhansky, a member of the High Qualification Commission of Judges, whom the NABU and the SAPO suspect of illegally receiving UAH 576,000. At the same time, he was allowed to move freely around Ukraine.
As is known, the anti-corruption court applied a preventive measure in the form of bail to Luhansky. He was also given the following obligations: to appear upon first demand; to report any change of residence and/or work; not to leave Kyiv without permission; not to communicate with witnesses; and to hand over his foreign passports.
The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requested an extension of the obligations for another two months. The judge partially supported the request, allowing Luhansky to leave Kyiv and move freely within Ukraine.
The motion of the SAPO prosecutor is partially granted. The suspect Luhansky Volodymyr Ivanovych is to be extended the term of the duties stipulated in Part 5 of Article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine until October 27, 2025 inclusive, but not longer than the term of the pre-trial investigation.
