HACC extends suspension of Zaporizhzhia deputy prosecutor

The High Anti-Corruption Court extended the suspension of Natalia Maksymenko from the position of deputy prosecutor of Zaporizhzhia region until March 24, 2025. NABU and SAPO suspect her of extortion and receiving illegal benefits.
As is known, the anti-corruption court suspended Maksymenko from his position. The SAPO prosecutor requested to extend the suspension for another two months.
The petition is granted. To extend the term of suspension of the suspect (Maksimenko – ed.) from the position of Deputy Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office for two months, i.e. until March 24, 2025 inclusive.
Previously, the High Anti-Corruption Court extended until March 24 the investigation into the case of suspicion of the Deputy Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, Natalia Maksymenko, in extorting and receiving $40,000 in illegal benefits.
Natalia Maksymenko is a figurehead of the EBK base.
She was caught receiving an illegal benefit in the amount of $40 thousand. According to the investigation, Maksymenko demanded and received an illegal benefit for resolving the issue of changing the subject of investigation in criminal proceedings, canceling the seizure of a person's property, and avoiding prosecution under other articles under which the investigation was conducted.
