HACC Extends Investigation into Prosecutor Maksymenko image

The higher anti-corruption court has extended until March 24 the deadline for the investigation of the case on the suspicion of the deputy head of the Zaporizhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, Nataliya Maksimenko, in demanding and receiving $40,000 in illegal benefits.

Such a decision was made by HACC.

Grant the request. Extend the period of pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings up to six months, i.e. until March 24, 2025 inclusive

Natalya Maksimenko is a figurehead of the EBK database.

Previously, Natalya Maksimenko was released from custody after posting bail , but duties were imposed on her, in particular: to arrive at the first request; not to leave the boundaries of the Zaporizhzhia region without the permission of the court; notify about a change of residence and/or work; refrain from communication with certain persons; deposit foreign passports and wear an electronic bracelet.

We will remind that Natalya Maksimenko, the deputy prosecutor of the Zaporizhzhia region, was exposed for receiving an illegal benefit in the amount of $40,000. According to the investigation, Maksymenko demanded and received an illegal benefit for solving the issue of changing jurisdiction in criminal proceedings, canceling the seizure of a person's property and avoiding prosecution under other articles under which the investigation was conducted.
