HACC to hear asset forfeiture case against customs deputy

The High Anti-Corruption Court has scheduled for consideration the lawsuit of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office against the Deputy Head of the State Customs Service, Serhiy Zvyagintsev, regarding the confiscation of a residential building and land in the Kyiv region.
As is known, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit to confiscate the assets of the acting head of the State Customs Service Zvyagintsev. In it, the prosecutor requested the confiscation of a residential building with a total area of 236.8 square meters and a land plot under it with an area of 0.12 hectares in Ivankovychy, Obukhiv district, Kyiv region. The specified property is registered in the name of Zvyagintsev's father-in-law Mykola Nikov. According to the prosecutor's office, Zvyagintsev and his relatives did not have sufficient funds to purchase these assets.
To close the preparatory proceedings in the civil case on the claim of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office to (Serhiy Zvyagintsev - ed.) on the recognition of assets as unfounded and their recovery into state revenue. To schedule the case for trial on the merits in an open court session on May 27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the premises of the High Anti-Corruption Court
