HACC to review case of former first deputy head of SFS

The High Anti-Corruption Court has scheduled for consideration on the merits the case against the former First Deputy Head of the State Fiscal Service, Serhiy Bilan, for embezzlement of over UAH 641 million.
This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, but it did not mention the name of the person involved. According to media reports, this is Bilan.
On May 16, 2025, the judge of the Supreme Court of Justice, based on the results of the preparatory meeting, assigned to consider the merits of the case against the former First Deputy Head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, accused of abuse of office, which caused grave consequences for state interests. In addition, we note that together with the indictment, the judge will consider the prosecutor's civil claim for compensation for damages caused by the abuse of office by the accused, in the amount of UAH 640 million. The hearing on the merits is scheduled for May 21, 2025
