The High Anti-Corruption Court has scheduled a hearing on the election of a preventive measure for the acting head of the State Customs Service for January 10.
The press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reported this to the media.
The meeting is scheduled for January 10, at 1:45 p.m.
As reported, law enforcement officers exposed the acting head of the State Customs Service, Serhiy Zvyagintsev, for intentionally entering into the declaration knowingly false information about real estate with a total value of over $100,000.
The investigation established that in the declarations for 2021-2023, the official did not indicate information about a residential building with an area of 236.8 sq. m, as well as about the land plot near Kyiv on which this building is located.
The specified property was registered in the name of a close relative of the wife, but in fact its owner and manager was the official and his family.
The actions of the defendant are qualified as a crime under Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - intentional inclusion by the subject of declaration of knowingly false information in the declaration of a person authorized to perform state or local government functions, as provided for by the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Corruption".
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine will continue the fight against those who want to profit from the war.
We also wrote that law enforcement officers exposed the head of one of the communities in the Rivne district, who allowed the felling of almost 800 pine trees in exchange for a bribe.
