Anti-corruption court resumes trial of former Odesa judge Lonskyi

The High Anti-Corruption Court resumed the hearing of the criminal proceedings on charges of Ilya Lonsky, a judge of the Primorsky District Court of Odessa, with incitement to bribery and fraud.
As is known, Judge Lonsky was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In connection with this, the court suspended the hearing of his case. Later, the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office filed a request to resume the consideration of the case.
The motion of the SAPO prosecutor shall be granted. To resume the trial in the criminal proceedings on the accusation (of Lonsky – ed.) of committing criminal offenses provided for in Part 3 of Article 15, Part 3 of Article 369, Part 2 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. To schedule a court session for 3:00 p.m. on July 21, 2026 in the premises of the High Criminal Court of Ukraine

As a reminder, the SAPO referred the case of Odessa judge Ilya Lonsky and lawyer Yevhen Berestovy to court for receiving $2,000 in illegal gain. According to the prosecution, the lawyer demanded the specified funds from the serviceman for allegedly assisting in the adoption of a positive decision in the case by the judge of the Primorsky District Court of Odessa.
During the further investigation it was established that to implement his criminal plan the lawyer involved the judge of the Primorsky District Court of Odessa Ilya Lonsky. According to the agreed actions the lawyer was to incite the serviceman to provide an illegal benefit for a positive decision in an administrative case to another judge of the same court, to receive the illegal benefit and transfer part of it to the specified accomplice judge. In addition, the lawyer informed the judge about the possibility of taking possession of part of the funds received from the person, provided for transfer to the judge.
