The High Anti-Corruption Court has extended the term of office of former Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Spasybko in the land case of businessman Denys Komarnytsky until August 22. He was previously released from custody after posting bail.

As is known, the High Anti-Corruption Court took Spasybko into custody with the alternative of UAH 20 million in bail. Later, the arrest was extended and the bail was left unchanged. On April 22, bail was posted for the suspect and he was released from custody. Spasybko was given the following obligations: to appear at the first request; not to leave Kyiv, Kyiv region and Chernivtsi (except for travel between them) without permission; to report a change in his place of residence and/or place of work; to wear an electronic bracelet; to hand over his foreign passports and to refrain from communicating with other suspects, as well as designated persons.

The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requested that these obligations be extended for another two months. The judge extended all obligations except for wearing the bracelet, since it was not actually worn on the suspect.

The request of the SAPO prosecutor to extend the term of his duties is partially granted. To extend the term of his duties stipulated in Part 5 of Article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code for the suspect (Spasybka – ed.) until August 22, 2026 inclusive, but not longer than the term of the pre-trial investigation.

– the decision states.

Let us remind you that Oleksandr Spasybko is a person involved in the EBK base.

As a reminder, NABU and SAPO have handed over suspicions to 10 individuals, including Denys Komarnytskyi, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Petro Olenych, Head of the Kyiv City Council Standing Committee on Architecture, Urban Planning and Land Relations Mykhailo Terentyev and member of this committee Olena Marchenko. According to the investigation, the government officials were engaged in illegal privatization of land for construction. In addition, they tried to take full control of the procedure for making decisions on granting land rights.
