HACC remands Volovets district judge Pelykh into custody

The HACC has imposed a preventive measure of two months' detention on Oleksandr Pelykh, a judge of the Volovets District Court suspected of bribery, with the alternative of paying bail of 1 million hryvnia.
This was reported on the Facebook page of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
According to Suspilny, it is known that this is about Oleksandr Pelykh.

The court set bail at UAH 1 million. If it is paid, the suspect will be subject to procedural obligations

As part of the pre-trial investigation conducted by NABU detectives, it was established that from September 15 to November 28, 2025, the judge asked the director of a private company to give him and third parties a bribe for canceling the seizure of 20 cubic meters of timber.
He was informed of suspicion of requesting and receiving an illegal benefit. The judge's actions were classified under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
