The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court upheld the sentence of a former judge of the Kropyvnytskyi Court of Appeal, who was found guilty of requesting and receiving a large amount of illegal benefit.

This was reported by the press service of the HACC. According to information from Slovo i Dilo, this concerns Volodymyr Gonchar. As noted, on September 18, the panel of judges rejected the appeals of the defense.

According to the verdict of the HACC dated January 12, 2026, Gonchar was sentenced to 6 years and 6 months in prison. He was also banned from holding certain positions for three years and all property owned by him was confiscated.

After the verdict was announced, the convict was taken into custody.

Volodymyr Gonchar is a figure in the EBK database.
