HACC to Try Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP Case Defendants in Absentia

In 2011-2012, Dmytro Sokolov, the head of the Department of Production and Technical Equipment of the Yuu Nuclear Power Plant, using the enterprises under the control of his assistant, businessman Dmytro Lysenko, as means and instruments of crime, abusing his official position, unlawfully took money with the funds of JSC "NAPGC "Energoatom" during the purchase of equipment, namely air conditioning-refrigeration and ventilation systems.
As it turned out, the equipment was purchased at inflated prices, which caused losses to the state enterprise in the amount of UAH 12.3 million. Sokolov and Lysenko are also accused in another case of taking over the Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP.
