HACC orders in absentia arrest of ex-OP deputy Shurma image

The High Anti-Corruption Court took into custody in absentia the former Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Rostyslav Shurma and his brother Oleg in the case of embezzlement of UAH 141 million on the "green" tariff.

This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, but did not specify the names of the suspects. According to media reports, this concerns Shurma and his brother, who were previously put on the wanted list.

On April 21, 2026, at the request of NABU detectives, agreed by the SAPO prosecutor, the investigating judge of the Supreme Court of Ukraine chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the former deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine and the owner of a network of Ukrainian and foreign companies (a close relative of the former deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine). After the suspects are detained and delivered to the place of pre-trial investigation, the investigating judge will decide on the application of this preventive measure

Rostislav Shurma is a suspect in the EBK database.

Earlier it became known that the High Anti-Corruption Court extended until August 21 the investigation into the case of the embezzlement of UAH 141 million on the "green" tariff , in which the former Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Rostyslav Shurma, was suspected.
