Anti-corruption court approves plea deal in former Health Minister case
The High Anti-Corruption Court approved the plea agreement concluded with Hryhoriy Chyzhyk in the case of former Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov for the misappropriation of more than UAH 450 million from the state-owned enterprise "Ukraine Printing Plant", which he headed.
As indicated, Chyzhyk pleaded guilty, pledged to reimburse 700 thousand euros to the account of the State Enterprise "Poligrafkombinat" and another 300 thousand euros to the account of the charitable foundation "Return Alive". The accused will also cooperate with the investigation and provide incriminating testimony regarding other defendants.
To approve the plea agreement concluded on June 22, 2026 between the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and the accused (Chyzhyk - ed.). To find (Chyzhyk - ed.) guilty of committing criminal offenses provided for in Part 5 of Article 27, Part 5 of Article 191, Part 5 of Article 27, Part 4 of Article 368, Part 5 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine
The foreigner was sentenced to 8 years in prison and released from serving it for a probationary period of 3 years.
