Supreme Court Transfers Grimchak to Kyiv Pretrial Detention Center

The Supreme Court transferred former Deputy Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories Yuriy Grimchak from the Boryspil Correctional Facility to the Kyiv Pre-trial Detention Center for the period of cassation proceedings.

As you know, the Higher Anti-Corruption Court found Grimchak guilty and sentenced him to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property. The HACC Appeals Chamber left the verdict unchanged. The defense filed a cassation appeal against these decisions. Hrymchak also asked to be transferred from the penitentiary to the pretrial detention center for the duration of the trial

The application of the convict (Grimchak - ed.) should be granted. Transfer the convict from the state institution "Boryspil Correctional Colony (No. 119)" to the state institution "Kyiv Pre-trial Detention Center", enrolling him in the Cassation Criminal Court of the Supreme Court. Deliver in custody to the court session of the Criminal Court of Cassation of the Supreme Court at 3:30 p.m. on December 17, 2024 to participate in the consideration of criminal proceedings by the court of cassation
