Supreme Court to Hear Shershak Appeal on November 3
The Supreme Court has scheduled a hearing for November 3 to consider appeals against the verdict sentencing judge of the Zarechny District Court of Sumy Mykola Shershak to 7 years in prison for receiving unlawful benefit.
As is known, the High Anti-Corruption Court found Judge Shershak guilty of receiving unlawful benefit. He was sentenced to 7 years in prison with confiscation of property. The Appeals Chamber of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court left this verdict unchanged. Therefore, the defense filed cassation appeals.
To complete the preparation and schedule the criminal proceedings on the cassation appeals of the convicted person (Shershak) and his defense lawyers against the verdict of the HACC of September 18, 2024 and the resolution of the AC of the HACC of January 14, 2026 for consideration in cassation by the Supreme Court by the panel of judges of the Second Judicial Chamber of the Criminal Court of Cassation at 11:00 on November 3, 2026
