The High Anti-Corruption Court has extended the suspension of Andriy Dzyuba from the position of head of the department for combating smuggling and customs violations at Rivne Customs until April 17. NABU and SAPO suspect him of bribery.
As is known, the anti-corruption court suspended Dzyuba from his position. Later, the court extended the suspect's suspension. Due to the approaching end date of the measure, the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requested another extension of the suspect's suspension.
The prosecutor's motion to extend the term of suspension of the suspect (Dziuba - ed.) shall be granted. The term of suspension of the suspect from the position of Head of the Department for Combating Smuggling and Violations of Customs Rules of Rivne Customs shall be extended for two months, i.e. until April 17, 2025 inclusive, but within the period of the pre-trial investigation. A copy of the resolution shall be sent to the State Customs Service of Ukraine and Rivne Customs.
As a reminder, NABU and SAPO exposed the head of the department for combating smuggling and violations of customs rules of Rivne customs, Andriy Dzyuba, for bribery.
According to the investigation, the head of one of the departments of the Rivne Customs, in collusion with other officials of the State Customs Service, arranged to receive bribes for “assistance” to companies in unhindered passage of customs control during the clearance of imported goods. In particular, using his official position, he facilitated the customs clearance of such goods at the Rivne Customs at low tariffs. The funds received were subsequently distributed among all participants in the criminal scheme.
