SAP refers case of ex-director of Khotyn National Park to court image

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has sent an indictment to the court against the former director of the Khotynsky National Nature Park, Georgy Popovetsky, for receiving $65,000 in illegal benefits.

The former director of the National Nature Park in Chernivtsi region was reported on suspicion of receiving an illegal benefit in a particularly large amount. The amount in question is 65 thousand US dollars. 

The indictment in the case was sent to court on April 2, 2025. According to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, the suspect's actions were qualified under Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (receiving an illegal benefit by an official in a particularly large amount). 

According to the court's decision, he is obliged to appear at the first request, not to leave the borders of the Chernivtsi region without the permission of the investigator or the court, to report any change of residence or work, and to hand over his foreign passports for safekeeping.
