HACC Appeals Chamber cancels suspicion against Forests of Ukraine head
The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court canceled the notice of suspicion served on Yuriy Bolokhovets, the general director of the state enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" within the framework of the case of illicit enrichment.
The Anti-Corruption Court saw no grounds to overturn Bolokhovets' suspicion, and therefore his defense attorney filed an appeal against this decision.
The appeal of the suspect's defense lawyer (Bolokhovets - ed.) - to be satisfied. The decision of the investigating judge of the HACC dated 17.02.2026 - to be canceled, a new decision is issued, by which the complaint on the report of suspicion - to be partially satisfied. To cancel the report of suspicion (to Bolokhovets - ed.) dated 21.07.2025 in committing a criminal offense, provided for by Art. 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, in criminal proceedings
Also, on March 11, the HACC canceled the preventive measure applied to Bolokhovets, namely the bail in the amount of UAH 9.08 million.
Yuriy Bolokhovets is a suspect in the EBK database.
The State Bureau of Investigation and the Prosecutor General's Office reported suspicions to Yuriy Bolokhovets, the General Director of the State Forestry Agency of Ukraine. According to the investigation, in 2021, at that time, the head of the State Forestry Agency, Bolokhovets, acquired assets worth more than UAH 10.4 million, which significantly exceeds his legal income. The difference is more than UAH 7.9 million. Among such assets: an apartment in Kyiv worth more than UAH 9 million, registered to a controlled person, and eight land plots with a total area of 24 hectares.
We also previously reported that the High Anti-Corruption Court has scheduled for consideration on the merits of criminal proceedings against MP Robert Horvat and four other individuals for the seizure of land in Zacarpathia, which caused almost UAH 127 million in losses to the state.
