Appeal to review verdict for Marakhovskyi and Boichenko

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court will consider an appeal against the verdict that found former deputy head of the Izmail local prosecutor's office of the Odessa region Ivan Marakhovsky and former deputy of the Odessa regional council Ivan Boychenko guilty of receiving $40,000 in illegal benefits.

As is known, the anti-corruption court found Marakhovsky and Boychenko guilty. They were sentenced to 8 and 10 years in prison, respectively. The defense filed appeals against this verdict.

Open appeal proceedings on the appeals of the accused (Boychenko – ed.), his defense attorney and the accused (Marakhovsky – ed.) against the verdict of the High Anti-Corruption Court dated 02.04.2025. Send the participants in the court proceedings copies of the resolution on the opening of appeal proceedings and appeals, along with information about their rights and obligations. Set a deadline for the participants in the court proceedings to submit written objections to the appeals – 5 days from the date of receipt of a copy of the resolution
