Appeals court to review acquittal of park ex-director
The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court has scheduled for April 23 the consideration of the appeal of the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office against the verdict acquitting the former director of the Khotyn National Nature Park, Heorhiy Popovetsky, of charges of receiving $65,000 in illegal benefits.
As is known, the High Anti-Corruption Court acquitted the former head of the National Park, Georgy Popovetsky. According to the court, the actions of the former park ranger were the result of provocation by law enforcement agencies. The SAPO prosecutor filed an appeal against this verdict.
