Appeal court upholds Dovzhenko Studio verdict

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court confirmed the verdict sentencing the former chief engineer of the state-owned enterprise "National Film Studio named after Oleksandr Dovzhenko" Tymofii Parkhomenko to 7.5 years in prison and the former director of LLC "M.I.K." Maksym Minchuk to 8.5 years.
As is known, the anti-corruption court found former chief engineer of the film studio Parkhomenko and former head of a private company Minchuk guilty. They were sentenced to 7.5 and 8.5 years in prison, respectively. The defense filed appeals against the verdict.
On June 15, 2026, the AC of the HACC considered the appeals of the defense against the verdict of the Supreme Court of Justice of August 14, 2025, by which the former chief engineer of the state enterprise "National Film Studio named after Oleksandr Dovzhenko" and the former director of one of the LLCs were found guilty of committing a number of criminal offenses. Based on the results of the consideration, the panel of judges left the appeals without satisfaction, and the verdict of the HACC unchanged. In order to execute the court's decision, both convicts were taken into custody in the courtroom
The decision entered into force from the moment of its announcement and can be appealed to the Criminal Court of Cassation.
