SBI probes UAH 150 mln losses in Hrynkevych case

The State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the supply of bulletproof vests and helmets at inflated prices, which caused losses to the state of UAH 150 million. The investigation is being conducted in the case of Lviv businessman Ihor Grynkevich and his son Roman. This is reported by the Interfax news agency.
The State Bureau of Investigation, in response to a journalist's information request regarding the investigation into the Grynkevich case, reported: "The State Bureau of Investigation is conducting an investigation in a separate criminal proceeding, during which it was established that the specified group of individuals supplied bulletproof vests and helmets at inflated prices."
The department emphasizes that the conducted examination established losses to the state budget totaling almost UAH 150 million.
A corresponding procedural decision is expected to be made in the said criminal proceedings in the near future.
Interfax also reported that the State Bureau of Investigation is investigating possible extra-procedural ties between a representative of the judiciary and the defense of Lviv businessman Igor Grynkevich and his son Roman, who are accused of supplying low-quality clothing to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
