Former Odesa regional council deputy appeals corruption conviction
The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court will consider appeals against the verdict by which former Odessa Regional Council deputy Mykola Derevyanko and director of Ukrmezhbud LLC Volodymyr Gerasymchuk were found guilty of abuse of office. They were sentenced to 4.5 and 4 years in prison, respectively.
As is known, the High Anti-Corruption Court found former deputy of the Odessa Regional Council Derevyanko and the head of a private company Gerasymchuk guilty. The former deputy was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison and banned from holding certain positions for 3 years. The company director was sentenced to 4 years in prison with a ban on holding certain positions for 2.5 years.
Open appeal proceedings on appeals (in the interests of Derevyanko and Gerasymchuk) against the verdict of the High Anti-Corruption Court of June 12, 2026. Set a deadline for the participants in the court proceedings to submit written objections to the appeals - 5 days from the date of receipt of a copy of the ruling

We also previously reported that the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court scheduled a hearing for August 3 to consider appeals against the verdict sentencing lawyer Oleksiy Nosov to 4.5 years in prison for offering to provide $200,000 in illegal benefits to prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office for transferring part of the case of businessman Mykhailo Kiperman to another body.
