Four million hryvnias in bail was paid for the former director of the housing and communal services department of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, who is suspected of embezzling and misappropriating over 140 million hryvnias for the reconstruction of heat and water supply in Svyatohirsk, Selydove, and Ukrainska.

This is reported by Public Donbas with reference to the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court.

The prosecution justified its motion by saying that the suspect could hide from the investigation, influence witnesses, and obstruct the investigation.

In turn, the suspect's lawyer asked the court to impose a preventive measure in the form of bail, and in the event of detention, to determine the minimum possible amount of bail.

The court partially granted NABU's request and chose a preventive measure in the form of a bail of 4 million hryvnias.

Also, the former director of the Housing and Utilities Department of the Donetsk Regional State Administration must, within two months: appear at the request of the prosecutor or court; report a change of residence; wear an electronic bracelet; surrender his passport; remain in Uzhhorod; and refrain from communicating with witnesses.
