Ex-Military Commissar Borysov Detained Again
In Kyiv, SBI officers detained the former head of the Odessa DTCP, who was released from pretrial detention after posting bail.
The agency does not name the detainee, but judging by the photo and case materials, it is Yevhen Borisov.
Borisov was previously released from pre-trial detention on bail of 39.364 million hryvnias. However, the State Bureau of Investigation reportedly received information that after leaving the detention center, Borisov planned to hide from the investigation, including by going abroad.
He was informed of the suspicion of committing new criminal offenses provided for in Part 3 of Article 27, Part 1 of Article 114-1 (organization of obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a special period), Part 3 of Article 27, Part 1 of Article 366 (organization of the preparation and issuance by an official of a knowingly false official document) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As the SBI reported, he organized a non-combat injury registration for himself, which was not even received during the performance of official duties. Based on the erroneous decision of the service inspection and, accordingly, the conclusion of the MSEC, he was unjustifiably awarded additional remuneration in the total amount of UAH 165,480 for the period April-June 2022.
The State Bureau of Investigation is also investigating criminal proceedings on suspicion of a former military commissar in committing such a crime as organizing the legalization of funds obtained through criminal means.
Within the framework of this criminal proceeding, according to the materials of the State Bureau of Investigation, the court transferred to the management of ARMA a house with an area of 857 sq. meters worth 4 million euros and an office with an area of 223.9 sq. meters worth 510 million euros in the Spanish resort of Marbella. The real estate belonged, respectively, to the mother and wife of the former military commissar.
The court also handed over to ARMA a MERCEDES-BENZ EQV worth UAH 2.9 million, a Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG worth UAH 8.4 million, and a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 worth UAH 3 million. They were owned by the wife, mother, and mother-in-law of the former military commissar.
Yevgeny Borisov is a figure in the EBK database.
As a reminder, the head of the Odessa DTCP, Yevgeny Borisov, was dismissed on June 28. This happened after journalists discovered the family's property worth millions of dollars in Spain. The real estate and expensive cars were purchased during the full-scale war with the Russian Federation.
Borisov was arrested with the possibility of posting bail of UAH 150 million. Later, the court seized the property, money, and bank accounts of Borisov and his family members in Ukraine.
He was released from pretrial detention, but was detained again and given a new preventive measure.
Earlier it became known that the court extended the duties of the former member of the Mukachevo City Council.
We also wrote that the HACC set bail for the former deputy chief of investigation.
