TCP Employee Sentenced for Bribery to Secure Deferral
The accused is a senior rifleman of the 1st branch of the TCP and SS security company. According to the investigation, on June 21, 2024, he took the first part of the bribe — two thousand hryvnias. Ten days later, the man was brought the second part of the money — $400.
The soldier took a bribe to help an acquaintance influence the decision of the head of the DTCP and SS to issue military registration documents with an electronic code for identification in the "Oberig" system. The man also handed over a certificate of deferment from mobilization and a temporary certificate of conscript.
The defendant explained at the court hearing that a friend had approached him and asked him to help his acquaintance with the registration of a military registration document. He stated that the man whom the serviceman helped to register for military service and deferment really had the right to do so, and he had only helped to do it outside the queue.
The serviceman pleaded guilty in court. The court found the man guilty under Part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of influence). He was sentenced to a fine of 85 thousand hryvnias.
