The Ivano-Frankivsk City Court has ruled in the case of a urologist at Lysetsk Hospital who promised to help a conscript obtain disability benefits to defer mobilization for $4,200. The doctor received part of the amount, but, failing to fulfill the agreement, returned the money.

This is stated in the court verdict.

The accused is a native of the village of Komariv, Galician community. On May 15, 2023, near a store on Hrushevskoho Street in Ivano-Frankivsk, he received a $3,000 bribe for influencing the decision of the regional bureau of the Social Security Commission to establish his "client" as a group III disability.

In court, the doctor pleaded guilty. He said that in early 2023, two people approached him to consult about the possibility of obtaining a deferral from mobilization. The defendant advised them to prepare additional documents and announced the amount of the reward - $4,200.

After the doctor received part of the amount, he had to complete the documents for the registration of a disability group. Later, he returned the money to the "client".

The man was tried under Part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He was found guilty and fined 110,500 hryvnias.
