Lviv draft office worker gets suspended sentence
The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Lviv sentenced a native of Kherson who, while working as an operator at the mobilization department of the TCP in Lviv, entered false data into the "Oberyh" system about his removal from military registration. The accused was given a suspended sentence.
According to the case materials, between September and November 2024, the mobilization department operator Pavlo T. removed 31 conscripts from the military register by changing the relevant information in the "Oberig" system without having legal grounds for doing so. It turned out that on some days Pavlo T. illegally changed data on several conscripts at once.
During the court hearing, the accused pleaded guilty and repented. He explained that, having access to the electronic military registration and enlistment system of the AITS "Oberig", he repeatedly made changes to the electronic registration cards of those liable for military service, although there were no legal grounds for this.
Judge Oleksandra Baeva found Pavlo T. guilty of unauthorized actions with information in electronic systems (Part 1 and Part 3 of Article 362 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced him to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to hold positions related to the work of the "Oberig" system for a period of one year. At the same time, the court verdict released the perpetrator from the main punishment, setting a two-year probationary period. The sentence can still be appealed.
