Kyiv region TCP officer suspected of $4,000 bribe
A TCP officer from the Kyiv region came under suspicion because he promised to update the data of a conscript without mobilization for $4,000.
This is reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.
According to the investigation, the official suggested that a man who was wanted and planned to change his place of work update his credentials and undergo a military medical examination in such a way that he would not be drafted. He demanded $4,000 for: assistance in registering his place of residence; assistance with processing documents via a mobile application; organization of passing the military service without further conscription; removal of the "wanted" status in the system.
The officer was suspected of accepting a bribe by an official (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for up to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Previously, the HACC extended the duties of the former head of the Khmelnytskyi MSEC.
