SSU Officer Sentenced to 10 Years for $60,000 Bribe
The higher anti-corruption court sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment Serhiy Shcherbakovskyi, an employee of the department of counter-intelligence protection of state interests in the field of information security of the SSU. He was exposed for a bribe of 60 thousand dollars.

Shcherbakovskyi was found guilty of ch. 4 Art. 368 of the Criminal Code (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an unlawful benefit by an official).
It is noted that the court confiscated from him crypto-currency in the amount of almost 58 thousand dollars lying in various multi-currency crypto-wallets, and also deprived him of the rank of colonel.
According to the Anti-Corruption Center, Shcherbakovsky was detained in July 2022.
According to the investigation, he asked for a bribe of 60,000 dollars for assistance in the return of the equipment that was seized as part of the investigation into the theft of electricity in the east of Ukraine. For the monetary reward, Scherbakovsky also promised not to interfere with the conduct of business related to cryptocurrency.
