SAPO appeals verdict against former Volyn council member Koshelnyk

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court will consider appeals against the verdict sentencing former Volyn Regional Council deputy Valentyn Koshelnyk to 3.5 years in prison for abuse of influence.
As is known, the High Anti-Corruption Court found former deputy of the Volyn regional council Koshelnyk guilty. He was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison with a three-year ban on holding positions in state and local government bodies. The court ordered the former deputy to be taken into custody before the verdict becomes final. The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and the defendant's defense lawyers filed appeals against this verdict.
