SAPO sent to court case of ex-Odesa regional deputies over fleet

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has sent an indictment to the court against former deputies of the Odessa Regional Council Viktor Baransky and Vitaliy Sautenkov for the seizure of 32 vessels of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company.
This was reported by the press service of the SAPO, but it did not mention the names of the suspects. According to media reports, these are Baransky and Sautenkov, against whom an investigation was carried out in absentia.
The SAPO prosecutor sent an indictment to the court in the case against two former deputies of the Odessa Regional Council, the former chairman of the board of PJSC "Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company" (hereinafter referred to as PJSC "UDSC") and 3 employees of legal entities controlled by the deputies, who organized a criminal scheme, the implementation of which led to the loss of 32 vessels belonging to PJSC "UDSC" and the infliction of losses in the amount of UAH 82.65 million

Previously, the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court took into custody in absentia Viktor Baransky, a former deputy of the Odessa Regional Council from the banned Opposition Platform-For Life party.
