SAPO seeks Nasirov’s arrest, hearing postponed

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requests the detention of the former head of the State Fiscal Service, Roman Nasirov, with an alternative of UAH 75 million as part of charges of embezzlement of UAH 2 billion related to the gas case of former MP Oleksandr Onyshchenko.
This was reported by the press service of the SAPO, but it did not specify the name of the person involved. According to media reports, this is Nasirov, whose case is in the final stage - court debates.
The SAPO prosecutor has filed a motion with the court to change the preventive measure for the former head of the State Fiscal Service, accused of abuse of office, which led to serious consequences. The prosecutor insists on changing the preventive measure to a more severe one, namely detention with the alternative of posting bail in the amount of UAH 75 million
At the same time, as reported by the SAPO, the court postponed the hearing until April 17, since the defense did not have time to familiarize itself with the materials of the motion.
Previously, the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) decided to reduce the bail for the former head of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov from 31 million hryvnias to 27 million hryvnias in the case of abuses in the "gas schemes" of former People's Deputy Oleksandr Onyshchenko.
