SAP sent the case of a former Lviv Customs official to court

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has sent an indictment to the court against the former state inspector of the customs clearance department No. 3 of the "Uhryniv" customs post of Lviv Customs.
This was reported by the press service of the SAPO, without specifying the position of the accused.
According to media reports, this is a former state inspector of the Uhryniv customs post, who assisted truck driver Pavlo Kostyshin in importing equipment into Ukraine without customs control.
The SAPO prosecutor, based on the materials of the NABU pre-trial investigation, sent to the court an indictment against a former employee of Lviv Customs, whose actions led to the illegal movement of goods outside customs control and non-payment of mandatory customs payments in the amount of over UAH 15 million.
As a reminder, NABU and SAPO reported suspicions to an official of Lviv customs and a carrier. According to the investigation, in April 2023, a customs officer facilitated the illegal movement of mobile phones, headphones, tablets, laptops, and monoblocks of various brands by a citizen of Ukraine in a truck at the international automobile checkpoint "Uhryniv-Dolhobychiv" without paying mandatory customs payments.
The customs officer entered false information into the automated customs clearance system "Inspector" that the vehicle transporting the specified products was "empty." As a result, goods totaling over UAH 15 million entered the territory of Ukraine without paying customs duties.
